She professionally, astutely and creatively gets things done and produces results. She has worked in the legal industry for over 25 years, as a lawyer, corporate executive and recruiter.

 

 

 
 

LEGAL EXPERIENCE

As a lawyer, Lisa worked in all settings, at all levels, and rose to the top of her field. She commenced her legal career as a Staff Attorney in the New York Office of the Securities & Exchange Commission’s prestigious Division of Enforcement before being recruited by a prominent New York City law firm where she was a litigation associate. After that, she moved in-house, and worked for 17 years at the #1 global record company, PolyGram Records (now known as Universal Music Group), starting as Senior Attorney and moving up the ladder to become Senior Vice President & General Counsel, a position she held for 10 years. After the $10 billion merger and integration of Universal and PolyGram, Lisa became Senior Vice President and General Counsel of the well-known computer game company, Atari, Inc. (then a publicly-traded company), where she established full-service multi-office legal departments (NY, MA, CA) and counseled and supported the Board of Directors, Management, senior executives and operations personnel on all day-to-day issues and deals. By the time she left Atari, 5 years later, Lisa had been promoted to serve as the company’s Executive Vice President, Administration & Operations.

RECRUITING EXPERIENCE

As a recruiter, Lisa served as a Managing Director of the In-House Practice Group of a global legal recruiting firm for several years. She focused predominantly on in-house searches and placed general counsels and other lawyers in all industry sectors, including entertainment, consumer products, life sciences, financial services and non-profit organizations. Most recently and for the following 3 years, Lisa was affiliated with a legal recruiting boutique where she continued to place in-house lawyers and also significantly expanded her law firm services, placing a multitude of law firm associates, partners, and law firm management personnel.

CONSULTING EXPERIENCE

Throughout her career, Lisa has been called upon to solve problems, make presentations, participate in seminars and write articles, often for the attribution of others. She has counseled individuals from myriad industries prepare their resumes, bios, and business and marketing plans, analyze their current and proposed organizational structures, and help formulate their hiring goals. Her engagements have included assessing the efficiency of a law department, analyzing business and litigation strategy and coordinating between lawyers and business people, participating in planning sessions and business development activities, and helping to craft the right resume and cover letter for clients' self-submission.
